thomas sadoski-2Sadoski started his stage career, which was a winner of awards, by playing the understudy of Mark Ruffalo and Mark Rosenthal in the Off-Broadway production of Kenneth Lonergan's critically-acclaimed production This is Our Youth at the Second Stage Theatre. This was the first of many productions by the theatre company based in New York. He has performed in numerous Broadway and Off Broadway productions along with numerous productions in regional theaters. In 2008, he originated the part as Greg in Neil LaBute's play reasons to be gorgeous for MCC Theatre alongside The Newsroom co-star Alison Pill. It was a highly acclaimed Off-Broadway production that was a huge success and sold out. In April of 2009, the play moved to Broadway where it received three Tony Award nominations: Best Actor: Sadoski; Best Actress: Marin Ireland; Best Play; and three Drama Desk Award nominations: Best Actor Best Director, Terry Kinney and Best Actor. 6. Neil LaBute credits Sadoski for inspiring the critically noted change in tone in reasons to be pretty from the earlier work of the playwright, saying: "His own thoughtfulness and kindness helped me not rely on my previous work prior to that. My plays always conclude in a dark spot. While I was of the opinion that gray was a real thing He proved to me that there are many hues of life. In 2011, he originated the part as Trip Wyeth in Jon Robin Baitz's Other Desert Cities for which he won an Obie Award and Lucille Lortel Award. After a sold-out Off-Broadway performance in November The play was then moved to Broadway and was given the award of the distinction of Outstanding New Off-Broadway Performance by the Outer Critics Circle. Sadoski was also seen on Broadway with Ben Stiller and Edie Falco.
